Altered Art Classes and Kits

This is a class I took from Connie K a great altered art teacher, She uses a lot of Tim Holtz product also available at Paper Metal Scrappers in Payson it was really a fun class. Big Spring snow storm up here last week end. We were all snuggled in at the store having a blast!!! " Gypsy Life For Me"

Our jewelry at the shop is so popular with our customers. We decided to look into Wholesaling. And found that we were able to redesign & change stone placement making it our own look... The Catch , we would have to commit to them making 120- 20 dozen pieces of the same design which was a little scary. Well we are now doing shows & wholesaling to many small boutiques along the West Coast. The mixture of new trends and our own designs has become unique to us and well received by our loyal customers. Traveling has been fun and exciting put staying in hotels every night is cutting into our profit margin.I guess the gypsy life was in our future..SOOOO Get Ready!!! Look what hubbie bought me.... We have been traveling for a year to the mid coast. Opened Chrisy's Cottage inside Posies in Oct. of 2010 and have been traveling to the second location for 10 days out of the month. Getting a second home was not in the budget. The Ranch is on the Market( paysonhomeforsale.com) But no nibbles yet. We have christened it " Seaside Affair" 93 Prowler 21" 5th wheel......Thank You Sweet Hubbie XO These pictures are taken right after it got home. You know I'll be doing the decorating thing BIG time. OMGOSH!!! the secret is out and I am sooo honored to be a part of this issue of Romantic Country Magazine. I had just moved into Posies in Arroyo Grande in October and was so thrilled to be approached by the magazine to be in there Summer issue. I love Fifi O' neil and have been following her site for a very long time. Always inspired by here casual and free spirit towards life and decorating. Her happy and friendly approach to all things creative have a very relaxing effect on your soul. She has become a inspiration in my daily life. I always have to check out what shes doing and I hope you will too . Yes, Sunday Hendrickson is as sweet and charming as she looks and Linda Iaderosa kept me calm I was so nervous . They Shot Posies first and as I am way in the back of the store I had to be last. We all went to lunch after and every one was so carefree and friendly. It was really a wonderful experience. Thank You so very much.. I have had Chrisy's Cottage going on 5 years and it was so wonderful to have some great feedback and recognition...... 2 pages in this wonderful magazine, thank you Linda Iaderosa for all your help the day of the shoot and your writing of our article.You are the sweetest stylish lady i will cherish this wonderful experience forever.... "Springtime at Chrisy's cottage"

French Farm House Faux Finish at" Chrisy's Cottage"

Well I've been wanting to do this for a while. I love to paint artistically and I did a finish like this in my old house with the old sheet music. I took it one step further and took pre- mixed plaster and a putty knife and globed it on good along the edge of the music line, after gluing down the old sheet music. ( I use Watered down good ole ELMERS glue) I painted the wall an old world Grey. Then mixed up glazing compound mixed a few shades lighter then the Grey base color, rolled on speratically and took serran wrap and placed over that...wearing gloves and sort of mushed it, peeled off serran wrap for a wonderful plaster looking finish. The glazing compound mixes with the lighter paint( About half and half) Extends your working time. So you can do about a 4' x4' area at a time. Then I took a rusty yellow color and sponged around the edges to give it some depth... Voila have fun!!!! Faux finished right over the door so it would all blend together. Yes ,that's a door to a closet behind the ladder Close up of faux finished wall I did. The Lilacs will be blooming soon up here on the mountain. I love the colors in this bedding so reminiscent of that beautiful color... Romantic Ecru Lace Cami's just $14.99 ea. Yes, that's my beach bag. Yes another trip to Posies my new location in Arroyo Grande. Yes I had a BLAST as always.. I have my booth all ready for you girls and had fun helping Laurie and Tamie do the windows again.... All done up for Easter. The web site is coming along and hope to have some pics for you soon.
