" Happy New Year"
As the new year is approaching . I am so thankful we are still doing what we love to do. Chrisy's Cottage is still growing in these stressful times, and the shop is still my happy place. The studio at the Ranch is really serving it's purpose. We have been as busy as elves all Dec. getting ready for Don's first show. " Thieves Market" In Cave Creek Az. Jan 2, 2010. He has had a very good Dec. at the shop and made some beautiful Christmas gifts for our loyal customers. We love you all and thank you for letting us make memories of your loved ones. Have a wonderful and loving new year.

"Merry Christmas to All"
My Dear Father carved this for me Many years ago. I think it looks so sweet with a big red bow in my guest bedroom. I did Christmas this year with red( that I all ready have a lot of) , and turquoise I think that it looks really good with the French Country Cowgirl thing I have going on. The carving is also something my dad made I always put a tree on top of the little beer barrels. I hang a little wreath on the horse. Many years ago Dad and I did shows together and he would sell his carvings and things he would make me that I would paint. Way back in the Country Goose days....He is were my talent and passion began ..XO Chrisy

"Christmas diplay at Chrisys Cottage"
Love this horse print. The statue I got at a Auction years ago. I use to have it in my entryway at my old house in the valley. I think it is Dresden. The little pig box, postcard and condiment holder with little pig knife I got on my day trip also. The shoes hanging on the tree I made out of vintage stuff from my stash . you cant see very well, but the pig on the box is riding a bike. So cute!!
"Cute Canister Set"
This folding bench is one of my fav. finds on my cross country day trip with my gal pal Betty. We had so much fun. It really inspired me to do the whole black and white thing for a News Years Eve display I love the little paper clocks hanging from the chandelier. I,m going to make paper chains made of old sheet music and loop around the chandelier also and get some News Year Eve hats and noisemakers to hand also. Got these cute canisters also with the No. thing going on . That is one of Donos prints on canvas in the background $42.00 if your interested.

Paula and Paris France, Eiffel Tower Clock
This is Paula, our store employee on Saturdays and occasional Sundays. Not only is she a great person to trust your store too, but she is also our model from time to time and is a talented artist in her own right.
I have included a sample of the handmade clocks my husband, Don and I produce and sell in our store and on-line to retail and wholesale customer's alike. These are produced by printing on canvas with archival inks. Then we stretch on a wood substrate, and mount a quartz clock. They even keep perfect time.
It is rainy and cold up here in Payson,Az. today, a good day to stay in the store maybe have a hot chocolate or cider and start my first blog. I will keep this short and publish this to make sure all is working well before adding my thoughts about Christmas, family, my store and my future plans and projects. Please check back with us and be sure to sign up for updates and so you can leave comments. Have a great day and hope to see you again soon.
