" Matilda's Mouse" Chrisy's Cottage Wonderful Adventure

Well I suppose you have been wondering what happened to me... I'm still here going on my third week in Ca. Doing a show Sun here in San Diego..... But I have a treat for you. Snuggled in the north hills, out side of Escondido is a invitation only show located in an old estate in an old barn. Home to Matilda' s Mouse. Name sake is Matilda the owners terrier who dresses up for the occasion, according to the shows theme. this was a Dot show... bargains bargains bargains almost everything was marked down with a colored bright dot with the new marked down price.... What a treat. The show goes on all this weekend. You have to email for your invite so have the email below for you...They are restocking daily... Oh, I wish I could go all 3 days... Betty Crocker Estate home to Matelda's mouse Snoozing Matilda Matilda s Mouse is located at the historic estate of Betty Crocker's, it is so quaint and charming from the time you walk through the big iron gates that are the entrance to this nostalgic piece of property. You are greeted by the most down home group of women. It was truly a most wonderful shopping experience. These girls really know how to put on a good show... I'm sorry this is the only picture I got of Matilda she was sound asleep and I didn't want to wake her. Of coarse for the dot sale she was dressed as a Lady Bug. So cute with her Polka Dot wings.... The barn surrounded with venders the flea market opened at 8:30 and the barn at 10:00. Well worth the wait... I will be doing a fall display in Sept with all my goodies I bought.. I'm so inspired.. I just LOVE to decorate... This is one of the out door booths Some ladies taking a break. it's a lot to absorb...... These columns were wooden and $ 100.00 each So COOL!! The outside of the barn was full of venders, and there was lot's and lot's of bargains.... Love this chandelier against this old tin ceiling These spools were $5.00 each I have been wanting to go to one of these shows ever since my friend Barb Solem told me about them. I've been Crazy busy this summer. A 10 day Trip to Minnesota for a family reunion. Relatives came all the way from Norway. A 10 day non stop party. 29 people stayed at our little red cabin. My sisters and I were wall to wall with company. Then flew to phoenix, The Hubbie picked me up right at the airport and we were off to LA that night to take the new owners of Chrisy's Cottage in Payson ( Sundi & Darsha) on a buying trip .... Then it was up to Arroyo Grande to do the Car show in front of the shop. And a week later The Morro Bay Street Festival.Next down to San Diego to meet our kids and be venders at City Fest and then finally I get to go home. I will have been gone a month....UGH!! Who thought the Gypsy Life was going to be this CRAZY!!! Porch pieces from Ventura Flea Market...... Love these large corbels. I found them in a Monterrey antique mall..... I have been waiting and waiting for this top to come in and it's finally here. don't you just love it? Lot's of new jewelry has arrived..... Have been working on some fun tassels for you. they are now available at the shop.. So Happy to visit with you again. Will be in San Diego as a vender for City Fest Sun. " 4th of July Cayucos Ca."

Hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July... we sure did. this young lady bought a bracelet from us and I just had to get a picture of her hair- do.. very creative....Theres a American flag sticking out the top of her head. This little girl visited our booth with her mom. She was in the parade. Yes, that's our 5th wheel parked behind our tent. This was a 3 day show and they let us set up a day early and stay a extra nite. We had front row seats for the fireworks and had a really good show....this is the way to go. You wake up your right there, and at nite you can walk anywhere. we were across the street from the beach. This was definitely one of the funnest shows. Really felt the gypsy life doing this one.We are doing their Fall show too. can't wait:) Cayucos Peddlers Fair July 4th our booth Just in Chrisy's new beautiful items to make you drool!!!! Beautiful vintage crinoline I embellished with vintage lace and flowers.. Sooo pretty.... Love this wingback I found so comfy.... The next three pics are of laurie & Tammies spaces inside Posies these girls own the shop I have Chrisy's Cottage in . 5ooo Sq. feet of shopping Joy!!! Wonderful new products at the shop. Purse I made now at the shop. Made from vintage bark cloth. Pillows I made. They are now for sale at the shop in Arroyo Grande Spent 3 days traveling up the coast to Montery Ca. where Don was stationed in the 60's. Was so much fun going down memory lane. Are son Dylan was 1o years old last time we were up there. we rode bikes to the aquarium and took the 17 mile drive. Just breath taking. Dylan is now 22. Oh, How time flies by. What a beautiful drive if you ever get the chance. A really fun trip... Rugged coastline below Carmel ca. I just can't imagine being out in the ocean in one of these small little boats... But there so cute... Moss Landing. Sad little tug boat ..... Coast line Big Sur Ca. My Hubbie can fall a sleep any where.... Taking a lunch break on the road.... Sorry it took me so long to Blog again. My new laptop had a fatal error. I lost a lot of the blog I had completed and saved to post later... Bummer!!! " Our Royal Wedding"

Our son Loren and his beautiful bride Amber. Our hearts were overflowing with joy. After a year of waiting and planning. The day was finally here. It was a outdoor wedding nestled in the mountains of Prescott. There is nothing more beautiful then a sundown wedding. It was perfect. It went until the weee hours of the morning & everyone had a fantastic time. I love my family and we always have such a good time when we get together. With all the problems in the world these days are so precious....Hugs and Love was overflowing The Bride had on Magenta heels.....Love the daisy bouquet with Magenta roses... The bridesmaids wore gray silk dresses with Magenta crinolines and magenta sequined tennis shoes. Ambers little sister broke her arm 2 weeks before the wedding , so the girls wrapped her cast in magenta too.. So Cute These are the other men in my life...Hubbie Don, Who also married the kids. Son Dylan, Son Michael, and his son and our grandson Cain... A few minutes into the dancing and Loren the groom had the DJ play a song and stripped off his tuxs to unveil this tuxedo tee. Then all the groomsmen and Don did the same. Every one was laughing and cheering them on, and then the" REAL PARTYING " began!!!!! This is Me, and my Beautiful Sisters. Nancy Jo and baby sister Shelly. You are braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem. I'm so proud of you. Shelly was in the hospital just 2 days ago having a major tumor removed from her back and radiation. She wasn't going to miss this wedding for anything......I didn't realize until now how much we look a like. I remember our mom dressing us up a like. She had a thing for the Lennon Sisters. We arrived at Pismo Beach State Park yesterday.. what a great place to park. We are just over the hill from the ocean.... follow this path with me to the beautiful Sea.... Were almost there....... High Tide last nite lots of shells..... Shoppers in Lauries area inside Posies....She carries a wide variety of soap products for you... Thank you all for the Wonderful turnout. THE STREETS WERE PACKED AND SO WAS POSIES.....Yeah!!!!!!! We sold a lot of jewelry. This is one of Tamie's vignettes inside Posies. " Hubbie working the crowd... Crowd at the Strawberry Festival......... My Sweet Sweet Kramer. Left him at home and missing him this trip..... This is my new sign I purchased for the Strawberry festival.. It's all gone girls.
